I do value the 2400. I had a 180 and duo 280c before it. I like
powerbooks, and my 2400 has been great. I'm a university student and
pretty strapped for cash. I own a pentium 266 laptop that I'm on now.
It's actually not that bad. So I'm not without a machine, and I can use
the money.

I was pretty mellow when my 2400 went down last night. Kinda angry though
as my warrenty went out a few months ago. I'll call Apple to see if they
can help me. Also Ted Whalen showed me what looks like a good repair place
that has a free diagnostic. ( minus shipping )

few months

..you might be able to get Apple Care...call

no thanks

Apple shouldn't have made bad processors to

you're right.

If this place Mr. Whalen pointed me to can get it done for less than $200,
I'll have it fixed. If anyone offers to buy at an ok price, I'll sell.
For me the hardest thing about losing my book is I loved Metrowerks
PowerPlant and CodeWarrior. And the setup was so tight with the wetsuit
and all.
