Not stupid (you never know with PowerBooks) and yes you can. I believe you just set one to "on" (assuming you are trying to use one in SCSI disk mode controlled by the other). Whatever dock you are using should be providing termination power (I know the Mini Docks do, but am not sure about the Newer Tech Micro Docks). The SCSI Docks should be set to on for the PowerBook to be the SCSI disk and off for the PowerBook to be the active system. Termination is actually irrelevant in this configuration as long as one PowerBook is providing power. You will know this immediately as the green "on" light on the SCSI Dock will not light if there is no Term. power. But, do not turn both SCSI Dock's to the "on" position, or the "off" position for that matter. Turn on the SCSI disk computer first and make sure you see the SCSI disk icon. Then turn on the "master computer". If anything weird happens, pull the SCSI cables out of the system PB immediately to avoid any data corruption, then force restart.
