An actual PPC Duo upgrade kit will be hard to find and probably overpriced
when you do, but you could also just buy a 2300c motherboard. The sole
difference between the upgrade board and stock 2300c one is the addition of
a passive-matrix video connector, which you don't require (only a 210 or 230
display would). A little-known fact about the 2300c is that even a stock one
has both ATA and SCSI connectors on the motherboard, so you could still use
your own drive (if you wanted to).

That's the other option, but you should be able to find just the motherboard
for less than a full 2300 (most of the cost is still the display, after all).
You also keep your:
- keyboard (not bad in a 280c but likely not as good as the Rev. F in a 2300c)
- old drive (smaller, albeit slightly faster)
- display (smaller but arguably better-looking, plus it's centered)
- speaker (slightly better quality in a 280 or 270 than a 2300)
- and most noticeably, trackball (a matter of taste).
That all assumes you're up to doing the work yourself, of course - otherwise
you might want to look at having a place like DT&T do it (no connection to
them, just a happy customer).

Marc, who upgraded a 270c but probably shouldn't have.
