On the other hand I had (very) similar problems, and had to get the main
logic board replaced. Try just reseating the cards first (or having some
other highly competent individual do so), but odds are something's going to
have to be replaced. Since your Powerbook is presumably past warranty, you
might want to look into having one of the refurbished-parts service places
do the work instead of Apple (www.dttservices.com is the one I recently had
a good experience with; www.powerbook1.com is another).
