The bottom case on the 230 (that I used to own) split near the front after the Duo got really hot one day. It was running on AC, but not in the Dock. Apple refused to aknowledge that there was a problem with their design, but I suspect that the fanless Duos are susceptible to overheating and case damage. By the way, my insurance company (personal article policy) paid for the repair. The parts are not too expensive ($50 range), and the disassembly process is only moderately challenging, if you feel the need to fix what may be only a cosmetic problem. Anyway, I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. It seems to me that the case has literally melted and bowed due to operating heat of the CPU. Could this be possible?
