I don't think anyone ever responded to this question which was buried in a reply somewhere along the way, but the saved RAM state feature on the iBook that alows you to shut down your iBook and simply start it up by loading the contents of the saved RAM state before shut down back into RAM -- is this a ROM/hardware specific instruction only on the iBook or is it possible to add this feature to older Macs by loading the revised startup instructions into the P-RAM area? I mean why not? Think of the battery life savings just from staratup and restart time alone, especially if you could do this instead of "sleep" which eats considerably more power. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
