I think I know the answer to this, but: Is it true that an external monitor will not sleep when a Duo is docked in a Duo Dock? I am running mine through a NuBus card and would have thought that I would have bypassed the internal monitor circuitry that caused this. But no! However, the Energy Saver control panel stupidly offers this as an option under the "external power" setting (it should be grayed out). Is my only option a third party control panel that I've heard of that forces external monitors to sleep? I think I actually tried it once, but it did not stop the fan from spinning in the dock (if in fact it put the CPU to sleep) so it didn't really solve my problem (I needed the computer to stay on all night to receive a regular 4:00 AM fax and it would only auto-wakeup from "sleep" not auto-cold start). ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
