Hi everybody:

I was the happiest guy around when my College bought me a Duo 230 and
DuoDock when they first came out, and it has been a faithful friend. They
show no signs of replacing it in the near future, however, and it's
pretty pokey compared to my G3 desktop I have at home. I can't get funds
to buy a new computer, but I can get funds for repairs and upgrades. .
.So. . .

Is there currently any realistic way of upgrading this computer? I have
heard of people on this list who have upgraded to a 2300 from this
machine - are there any places that still can do this? Would it be a
worthwhile thing to do?

I have the memory maxed out, so it's not a problem. I replaced the 120MB
hard disk with a 320MB - but this is obviously very limiting now and
would also have to be upgraded.

Probably all of this would be much less economical than getting a whole
new machine (or even a used one) but the College's budget rules don't
always make sense.
