The screen IS bigger, but the resolution is the same.

I used to have a 2300c but sold it.  I've since gotten a 280 (I'm typing 
on it now!) and for what I do it's just as fast if not faster.

I use mostly 68K programs (Word 5.1 especially) and the 2300c seemed
sluggish.  I think SpeedDoubler would have helped. 

The 280 runs 8.1 nicely.  If you need to run PPC-only programs the 2300
is your only choice.  If not, it's not a huge speed improvement.
