I was unable to ever get my Mini EN/SC working with the 2300 (an upgraded
270c) and a Newer SCSI Microdock. This was with OS 8.0 and 8.1 (and
possibly as far back as 7.6 or even 7.5.5). It had worked fine with the
270c, and it worked fine afterward when I sold it to someone with a PB150.
I never did sort out what the exact problem was, because I'd bought an
ether Microdock by then anyway. I don't think there's much that's
functionally different about the Mini vs. the full-sized or Micro, beyond
the shroud design and the way that they're powered (and possibly the
termination). The Mini was sold with either an HDI-30 or a DB-25 connector,
in fact.

I never got that particular EN/SC to work on any Powermac, actually,
whether desktop or notebook (I tried on several occasions, including some
where it would have been darn useful - I think I even tried it with the
2300 in a Dock II just as an exercise). Wish I still had an extra one of
those snap-on Asant HDI-30 SCSI connectors, though, they work well with
everything (even the 2400).
