My thanks to everyone of the list for providing a valuable resource for Duo
owners. My trusty Duo Dock I, after long use, has finally succumbed to
the tick of Death, but thanks to all the info on my archived copies of the
list, I was able to get the power supply off and into repair in a few days.

In the meantime, my Duo Dock is lying in pieces for the next few days. In
addition to a cleaning, I was wondering if anyone had answers to the
following questions.

1. Upgrading the Duo Dock Logic Board.

I have the original Duo Dock, but have always wanted the higher resolution
and ethernet of a Duo Dock II. Can I swap the Dock logic boards to give me
an upgrade?

2. Adding a SCSI hard disk

I remember that the Dock had power restrictions on the power supply, and I
was wondering if anyone has but a modern SCSI drive into the Dock, and if
so what are the power specs and where does one find a drive mount?

3. Floppy Disk

The original floppy disk was extremely dirty, and I was wondered why Apple
didn't include a dust flap with the floppy disk drive. Is it possible to
add one? Another question was whether I could add one of the new 120 MB
internal SCSI floppy drives to replace the original drive.

Thanks for the help. BTW, after I opened it up, I was amazed on how much
room was inside the Dock, and always regretful that Apple never did more to
exploit the power of the Dock.

Thanks,

Krishna Kumar
