Earlier today my battery wasn't charging through the adapter when I
had my 2300c in a lecture to take notes ... not a big deal, I thought.
The battery eventually wound down and I shut the machine off. When I
took it back to my place to install it in the dock, it gave a horrible
4-tone death march and gave me a black frowning face instead of a
desktop when I turned it on. Frightened, I took the machine out and
plugged it in through the adapter, and it worked fine. I put it back
in the dock and again got the awful frown and death march music.

Terrified, I have taken the Duo out of the dock and am letting it
charge through the wall adapter. Has anyone ever seen this happen?
What should I do? This is the only machine I own and without the
docking station I cannot get on the Ethernet - I'm now in a university
computer lab.

Please e-mail with any suggestions. I will check back with the machine
in an hour or two and see if it works in the dock then.
