I'll share my pet peeve with my GV PowerPort Platinum 33.6. I never use the software but it is installed. My #1 main complaint is the dongle that hangs from the modem. I use my 2400 on my lap a lot, while i'm on the net, and at least twice per session my dongle falls out and i lose my connection to the internet. What I need is a PCMCIA modem without a dongle. I like the kind where the phone line plugs into a connector on the modem. Ideas? -Jon >I also have a GV on my 2400, and do not use any of the software as it is >unneccessary for anything other than faxing. It is not required for >internet at all. For example, if you have a Global Village >56K PC Card (modem only), you don't need any extension that has the word >Platinum, Gold, or PowerPort in it, nor do you need the MultiFunction PC >Card extension, etc., etc. > >j ---Sent from the Macintosh PowerBook 2400c of:--- Jon Harahush, [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 11317474 1997 XJ Sport, 4 door, 4.0L, auto ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
