On your clicker bubble switch, I'm assuming you mean that mustache thing below the trackpad <grin> First is that you don't have to dismantle the 2400 to get at it. Just press a small slim screwdriver in the bottom gap and pop it up. Before you replace the bubble you might try removing the bottom half of the foam "spring" that provides the resistance of the clicker; that'll make it easier to press down. You can even remove more and experiment here, you can always glue some back.
If you have a small round bur, you can selectively relieve some of the plastic where the clicker bottoms to get it to press down on the bubble more. When you see it, that'll make more sense. Both of those techniques made my clicker suck a lot less than it used to. However by the time I got around to doing it, I was firmly ingrained in tap-dragging and still don't use it. . .
