Seriously. Be careful. There is no reason for this to happen if you did it
correctly.
1) take the rounded hinge cover tabs off.
2) take the battery out
3) take the keyboard completely off
4) push the tabs inside the battery compartment and lift the left side (facing
the screen) of the Duo top off of the bottom from front to back. once you have
lifted it to the back of the left side, keeping one hand on each side of the
case top, slowly increase the pressure and start pulling it up and to the
right. the case top will pull out from under the display mounts. then, once
you have cleared the right side, drop the left side down and pull the back
right corner up and forward at the same time at the lowest angle to the base
as possible, to avoid breaking the tabs, and the top is off.
5) put it on the same way, using extra care.
I can take a Duo top off and put it back on in less than 5 minutes without
breaking anything and resulting in a seamless fit every time with the steps
I've given you above.
I learned to do this after reading about all of the pitfalls which await you
inside a Duo case from the many detailed resources available on the web. I
recommend you always find all the documentation you can before attempting
something like this.
As for your broken tabs, if you don't put them back, that corner of your Duo
will always be loose, which I suspect contributes to your dissatisfaction with
the case fit. But, don't count on super glue for them holding up for future
dismantling (or even regular use, I suspect just carrying the Duo puts some
stress on the tabs). So be prepared to get down on your hands and knees every
time, or get a new case bottom.
