Hi all
I highly highly recommend the Canon Powershot A5, which you can pick
up cheaply as it has been superceded by more recent zoom versions at
higher rez. Uses Compact Flash cards, and guess what, comes with Mac
s/ware :-) A fantastic camera - I have no complaints, and I've been
using it for months and months with no worries. Transfer files with a
cheap CF adaptor. Nobody makes better lenses than Canon, although you
may find more feature packed cameras by other vendors. Other higher
rez cameras by Canon may be better, but you have to ask yourself - do
you want to absolutely replace your normal (film) camera ? If so, and
you have a semi-decent film camera, you will spend an absolute
fortune today to get something close digital, and the difference
between just under one megapixel and over is not worth the money, in
my opinion...
Just my opinions !
