The 2400 has a magnesium "stiffener" across the back of the unit to
support the screen, and a very lightweight (metal coated plastic?)
frame around the sandwich of logic boards.
I do however have a "Original Retail Price" $20,000 laptop cooling
stand for my 2400. =)
