This may or may not be a related BookEndz problem:
My beloved GeoPort refuses to work with the 2400 in the BookEndz. Although
the pass-through connector has the proper 9pin mini-din, Apple Telecom just
can't see the modem.
Any ideas??

Subject: 2400 Newer Bookendz problem
When my 2400c is docked the printer (Brother HJ-400 inkjet) gets ready
to print and draws in paper but then cops out with all lights flashing
and beeps beeping. When I take the 2400c out of the dock and plug the
printer directly into it it prints just fine.
This is a nearly new dock. Presumably the conacts for the printer in the
dock are not quite far enough forward. (I have inspected the pins at
both ends of the dock cable system and they seem straight and ok.) Have
people taken these docks apart to reposition the contacts or to simply
install their main printer cable in place of the short one that comes
with the dock? Are there problems to watch for when doing it?
