I just checked the Apple TIL and found that Battery Recondition 1.3 will work with 8.1. BR 1.3 was part of the System 7.5 install, so if you have that around you can get 1.3 off it. But you need to trash your Battery Recondition prefs before you run it.jj I ran it on my 280 with a Type 3 battery and it seems to be doing fine. I'll have to wait a bit for the battery to charge up to really be sure all is well. But so far so good. As David said, 8.5 fixes it and you don't need to go back to BR 1.3 if you're using 8.5.
