Ralph & The DuoList,

>>Most of the DuoList heat reports on the PB 2400 have been via
>>Jeremy's Temp CSM. http://www.kezer.net/csm.html
>>
>>I noticed that on my PB 2400 (Newer G3 240/512) the Newer's Gauge
>>Pro provides a CPU temp of 181F, while Jeremy's CSM is reporting an
>>operating temp of 159F.
>>
>>While I recognize that these two temps are acquired from different
>>areas in the PB, I'd be interested in hearing similar comparative
>>reports with this type of data:

That's correct - Newer samples the processor temperature directly
from the processor core, while my method samples the temperature from
the charging circuitry.

>>************************************************************
>>PB 2400 603/180MHz owners can also enter their heat data on
>>Jeremy's tracking page ...note most of the entries are peaking in
>>the 150-160F range.

If you'd like to have your temperature readings included, just send
them to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" with a subject of "Temperature data".
Please include your Macintosh model and your minimum and maximum
temperatures.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Kezer
