Did you get the little spring that contacts the left rear corner of the
battery back in place too? Or did someone else do the upgrade?
Is the battery indicator showing in the menu or control strip?
Does the 2400 shut down when you pull the AC/DC plug?

On the contrary, dismantling often requires resetting PM on the 2400.
