Hello Robert,

Have you tried specifically installing the Express modem software - it may
have been installed with 7.6.1 (I'm not familiar with that System version).
If you have a U.S. System, you need:

US-GeoPort-EM_3_0_Update-1of2_sea.bin
and
US-GeoPort-EM_3_0_Update-2of2_sea.bin

Which are available from Apple's ftp site. If you have a non U.S. System
like me then the latest version that I know of is British Express Modem
1.5.4.

The system software is 7.6.1, freshly loaded (3 times now!!!) on a
re-initialized disc.  The FreePPP and OT/PPP are fresh downloads.

As I said, I have no software specifically for the modem.
