I'm eventually going to upgrade to a G3 Powerbook or maybe something
like an iMac DV but until then would it be possible to use my Duo 2300
(56/1.1) in it's Dock II (with SCSI & ethernet) for some entry level
photo editing? I probably will just be adding stills to e-mail or to a
personal Website for now. I could either buy a low cost digital camera
or a scanner but I'm not sure how to interface between either of those
devices and my SCSI port. I could also install a NuBus card if this
would add options. Speed and frame capacity will be low but that could
be OK for now.
Does any of this make sense? What added software will I need? How about
a larger external HD? When I eventually go to a DV-capable upgrade
(perhaps with Firewire) will any of the entry level stuff be useful or
will I need to start all over again with higher performance components?
Comments? Suggestions? (I have pretty thick skin.)
Bob
