You can still get SCSI scanners that you plug right into the SCSI
port. If you go the digital camera route, you would have to use the
serial port, which is VERY slow. A scanner is cheaper and the
quality is better, so I'd go that route.
Does anyone know if the 2400 can read Compact Flash with the
appropriate adapter? This is the best way I know to download
pictures--no fuss, you just get a directory of images--the flash card
looks like an ATA drive. Of course the one time I had access to a
camera that did CF, I didn't test this. :-(
