Finally cranked up the (now rebuilt...hoorraahh!) Duo 2300 56/2.4g with a GV
19.2 Merc installed. Got OS8.1 loaded, grabbed the GV disks and tried to
load the drivers. Got a dialog box stating that "The "GV Driver" disk has
the right name but is the wrong disk." This is the driver disk from GV (ver
2.5 or 2.5.5??) and loading the control panel manually gives me a startup
dialog box stating that I am not using the driver on a Powerbook (??). Don't
remember having this problem with the modem install when I first got it, and
had it running on the 2300 w/8.0 when OS8 first came out (i.e., should not be
an OS problem).

Any comments? Anyone have good drivers which work? I've called GV and was
given a runaround and an offer to buy new drivers for $40!! I've got the
latest driver disk, the license, etc., but no satisfaction. Their customer
service has tanked since they were bought out. Just want the thing to work!

Any help appreciated.

Andrew
