I ran into that when installing 9.0.4 on the 2400.  Twice even--once 
when reading the CD and once when reading the update from my SyJet 
drive.  In both cases I tried again, and it installed with no 
problems.  I also can't use my usual drop-into-MacsBug trick to 
hot-swap SCSI drives on the 2400.  So, I think maybe it's just 
fussier about SCSI issues than the desktop machines are.
