Hi.

I'm new to this list. I'm trying to take care of a few problems on my wife's
PB 2400.

The power shuts off unexpectedly. I think I have this narrowed down to a
faulty power supply and just ordered a new one from MacMall. (These things
are hard to find!)

I'm also wondering if I need a new battery, the old one is dead, and if so,
does anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable price? MacMall quoted me
$270 for a new one. That seems awfully steep to me. Would the dead battery
have any effect on the intermittent shut downs?

Lastly, I think I'm due for a new clock battery. Any tips on replacing one on
the 2400? I've replaced many on larger Macs, but not on any PowerBooks.

Thanks for any help you can give.
