Are you trying to connect all three computers at the same time? If so, you
absolutely need a hub. While it would seem you know this, hubs don't use
crossover cables, only single computer to single computer (and no splitters!).
Hubs are cheap now (5 port 10/100 Farallon -- $90, or 4 port 10BT -- $30) and
will prepare you to add DSL when it's available or your ready.
