I have got myself another Duo 270c from a garage sale! These things come in
threes! It was looking very sorry for itself, but I have done much work on
it and it now functions.

Neither top nor back power switches work - are they both meant to operate on
the same internal switch? If so, it is not there. Therefore I eventually
had to get it to boot in my Dock, eject it (which you are not supposed to do
while it is running!) and put it to sleep, rather than shutdown. There must
be a way around this.

But the other enduring problem is that some of the keys do not work. I have
taken the keyboard apart and it seems as though it functions by means of
forcing two electronic tracks together, bits of which have been worn away.
Does anyone know if it is fixable, by painting conductive paint on the
reduced areas?

Thank you very much.
