Only the service manual may give you the details you need to install the HD
(the other downloadable Apple manuals will tell you how to open your dock).
This is not an easy job if you don't know what you are doing or have an
aptitude for this sort of thing.
I did mine without the aid of documentation, but by simply taking a look at
what was in there and working intuitively. Also I was aided immensely by an old
HD ribbon cable from another Duo Dock (obtained from the
http://www.PowerBookGuy.com ). I'm not sure I could have done it as well
without that cable or some very detailed instructions. You will need in
addition to a hard drive to install, a ribbon cable, power cable and mounting
bracket, none of which comes inside the dock.
