Hello, > I am using dvbcut 0.5.3 (taken frm scn on 2006-10-01) and dvdauthor 0.6.11 > under debian sarge. When cutting files with ac3-sound (using the dvbcut > multiplexer for dvd) and running dvdauthor on them, I always get the > following messages: ... > >WARN: Discontinuity in audio channel 0; please remultiplex input. > >WARN: Previous sector: 601.507 - 601.539 > >WARN: Current sector: 601.539 - 601.603
I get this too, very often. Also with mp2-audio. I patched my dvdauthor so it will print one additional digit after the comma and even then the numbers coincide. So I guess it is a timestamp discrepancy in the least significant bit or so -- definitely less than 50 nanoseconds! IMHO: nothing to worry about. > When usind the libavformat muxer for dvd format everything is ok (no warnings > from > dvdauthor). However, this only works when no ac3 sound is present. If there > is an > ac3-track, dvdcut crashes. Oh, interesting. I am one of the few on this list who like the libavformat muxer and might take a look to fix this. Does it happen with _any_ ac3 stream? > Besides, I think it would be a good idea to have an option in dvbcut to > export only > the elemantary streams without multiplexing.
