Close but no cigar :-) Of course the markers won't be set *explicitly*. The logic behind that would be somewhat like this: 1. if there is no stop marker at the end of the list, assume EOF 2. if there is no start marker at the beginning, assume BOF That is, if there are no markers at all, assume BOF->EOF.
