I wonder if that is the same cause for the issue I'm seeing: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.dvbcut.user/929 where my dvb card is set to record a HD stream with AC3 audio. mplayer plays it ok {there is big visual blockines every 5 seconds - I now think this is when the application writes the incoming stream to disk, since I have seen a once every 5 second disk activity during recording - audio most times the order drops out or makes a harsh noise at close to the same time}. dvbcut doesn't detect the AC3 stream. Michael mentioned PSI tables - and whether I could enable writing of them. I didn't find any useful info on how I could do that.
