Ravelry, a knitting/crochet community, has a system of buttons on each
post and reply: educational, interesting, funny, agree, disagree, and
love. The buttons are toggles, so a person can't add 999 disagrees to a
post. The click count appears next to each button, agree(11) for example.

I'm very fond of this system and often wish other forums and places like
LJ had something like it. That said, to reduce wank fodder it might be
better to leave out the "disagree" equivalent since complaining about
the disagree button seems to be a popular pastime on Ravelry.

Teph, going back to lurking now
