The code/feature that kicked all of this off does let you choose your  
own delimiter. See http://community.livejournal.com/s2flexisquares/ 
525551.html for what it is and what it does; it's a temporary fix for  
the larger issues that we're talking about, but that's what i meant  
when i said the styles team was adding that function into core2.
