I wouldn't like it. On most keyboards the Fn keys are further away than the number row (there is this small, about 1cm big gap between the number row and the Fn keys) and I like to minimize my finger movement when working. Beside that, Meta-[1-9] is not often used by other programs, and if they are, it's not that important, afaik. -- René Wilhelm
