Here's a new wrinkle... I just received an email from a ham
who lives several hundred miles away from me.(he will remain unnamed but most of
you know him)
He asked: ""Would you let me use your
station to work a new Chilean IOTA?""
""I need to find a station in the Laughlin or Bullhead City area this weekend that I could operate to work a new South American IOTA. I will be in the area this Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning and would like to give it a try."" The IOTA doesn't have the prestige of DXCC or Honor Roll but
where is the line, if a line even exists any longer? Don't you and your station
need to be in the same place to count a contact for an award? At least in this
case the ham wants to use his call at my station, or is that even
legal?
