I suspect the glossy photo cards of today, many purchased through former
eastern block printers, likely cost less than the plain "traditional card"
of years past, printed in the US.
Are they extravagant? I guess if you compare it against the cost of the
rest of the 3Y0X expedition, heavens no.
Is it worth it? That's a question for the folks who wrote the check. My
suspicion is that reading all the comments about how great the card is
make it worthwhile to them, in much the same way feedback about the
expedition justifies the cost of the operation.

Nice , with glossy picture cards. But I tend to agree, it must add
considerately to the cost.
Is it worth it when it makes no difference for DXCC ?
