I have a solid (and surprise) SSB on 18 (dipole w/100w from my weekend house in MD) and CW on 40 and 20, also barefoot. 3 "maybes", if my call isn't busted, on 20 and 40. I have a fair antenna system here in NJ and a big amp to boot.

I found them generally hard to copy even with headphones and a good imagination, and If they came back to me, I may not have propagation at that particular millisecond in time, or there my be a static burst or QRM although. How can I be sure that the "radio november" or "echo radio" was MY call without being a hog and branded as a poor op?

No complaints. THEY'RE the DX, and THEY can work it any way they damn well want to. I didn't find the tuner-uppers, wrong VFO guys and Southern Europeans any worse than any other DXpedition. They're just part of the game as far as I'm concerned, but of course I have 2 modes pretty solid.

A new one is a new one is a new one. Thanks, guys.
