Hello DXers....it is 1030 Z on Jan. 1, 2005
1. The VU4 operators, now with several additional India hams added and spread over the Andaman and Nicobar Island trouble spots, continue to pass emergency traffic mainly on 14.190 and 7.095 both voice. Bharathi has used her regular sked air ticket to return to Delhi.
2. The VU4 log books are safely now in Hydrabad at NIAR... do not worry. Check NIAR web site for more news from this date onward about the VU4 DXpedition, please.
3. Hams from all the affected countries are on the air doing emergency traffic. Most are conducted in the local languages which the operators are most comfortable with
4. Hotmail has totally failed me as a way of getting and sending email. I am now on Yahoo at [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Please pass this info on to anyone as well as my telephone number 66-5-046-1922 in Thailand.
Very sorry I can not reply to the 98 waiting Hotmail messages..... Maybe I will figure how to transfer Hotmail messages to Yahoo?
I have begun a book about these experiences... lest we forget we are all citizens of the world and that nature knows none of our silly little lines on our national maps.... Happy New Year, 73
