Anyone who has done QSL managing understands that there is a "talent" to reading between the lines at some QSO's. Some are NIL, some are just inaccurate. These take research and time to process. Believe me, I know! After over 200K QSL's generated here, I would've never allowed any of Dave's QSL's, or the CY0AA cards to be put in an open forum. I wouldn't put myself, or wish for anyone else, to embarass someone that has stood in line for 1-2-3 hours to say...Sorry, NIL without proper attention at a public forum. Heck, I feel bad enough at home zapping an NIL out!

To those that can do it, congratulations, you're a better processor than I. But a question I ask....does anyone willingly play on railroad tracks at rush hour? An accident waiting to happen....

Just my dime...

TOm,

See Don's email. No QSLs at Ham Com. I'm not a fan of 'ha
nding out' QSLs at ham gatherings. It's usually all about handing out EVE RY qso in the log to a person that gives his call sign, as opposed to the n ormal confirmation against QSLs sent in. The integrity of the log is damag ed should you hand out the QSLs without the ham turning in his QSO data for
verification.

I was QSL Manager for 1S1A on their February, 1973 operation at Spratly
Is. I was pressured severely by several
prominent 6s to bring cards to Visalia so that attendees would have
their cards for what was the most wanted entity
at the time. I agree with Steve and refused to do what they wanted
because of what I perceived would have been a chaotic physical pile-up,
trying to obtain a card ahead of the rest of the world. I didn't want to
chance any compromise to the integrity or credibility of my work and
mailed them out to all that I had received before Visalia weekend.
