Title: Upgrade from 9.10->10.04: Notifications don't show for volume adjustment Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: In 9.10 when I adjusted the volume on my laptop using the laptop buttons above the keyboard, the volume would adjust accordingly and notifyosd would show a balloon showing what the current volume level. This worked out of the box. Since I've upgraded to 10.04 my volume buttons have not worked and do not modify the volume. To try and alleviate this, under Settings->Keyboard I added a keyboard shortcut for each volume up/down as 'amixer sset Master 20-' and 'amixer sset Master 20+' for volume down and up respectively. Doing this still does not show a notification popup for volume adjustment. Notifications show up for other notifications like pidgin- libnotify. If there are any files you'd like attached please let me know.
