Hello, Having now successfully (?) installed a second soundcard (I now have an old ISA SoundBlaster16) I have an error message when trying to run PSK31 which says - "card doesn't support 16 bit 8000Hz mono format".
Why should this be? The SB16 works fine for voice keying (i.e. with Writelog and a RIGblaster) but why the apparent problem with DX4WIN & PSK31? Oh, if anyone is interested, the trick to get the two soundcards installed correctly under Windows was to FULLY remove the original soundcard (by that I mean, remove *all* the software drivers and physically remove the card), then install the ISA card (SB16) manually (not PnP) plus software followed by the PCI card (mine is a Yamaha DX-SG). Sounds easy just saying it like that - took a while to figure out the correct sequence of doing things though! Anyway, any SB16 users that can advise on the PSK31 error ? 73 Steve GW4BLE Contest Cambria - GW7X (http://www.gw7x.org) 01442 297738 07710 055612
