The Windows clock was set for GMT just like you suggested. I don't know how this happened. I remember changing the clock to GMT but I never touched the Windows setting. I did this for the 10 Meter contest during which I used TR Log. During the contest I changed the time back to local when I discovered I could change an option in TR so that it made the correction for GMT.
Thank you Jim and Mel for your suggestions and quick responses. 73..de John/K4WJ At 07:53 AM 12/24/02 -0500, Mel Martin (VE2DC) wrote: >Check your Windows settings... > >It sounds like you have your time zone set to GMT and have set the clock >to local time. >Set your Zone to Eastern Time (or whatever) and the DX4WIN calculates >the offset to GMT automatically. > > >-----Original Message----- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >On Behalf Of John/K4WJ >Sent: December 24, 2002 5:10 AM >To: [email protected] >Subject: [Dx4win] Lost UTC Time Display > > >DX4WIN suddenly quit displaying UTC time and is now displaying local >time. >I went to Preferences and the window that allows me to set an offset to >UTC >is gone.
