Missing beep update: I may not be the best case study since I had a hard drive crash a couple of weeks ago. I had to reinstall the upgrade for Windows 98SE, Norton AntiVirus 2001 and several other applications--so a lot of things changed. After I reinstalled everything, the system beeps worked for a while.
One thing I do remember is that I did change the setup to allow CW alerts just to try them out. They worked fine, but I decided to go back to just plain system beeps. When I tried to change it back, all I hear now is a faint click--no beep. So I wonder if DX4WIN makes some change to a .dll when you select CW Alerts, but then does not reinstall the same .dll or .wav file if you try to go back. I am using Version 4.7.
