The power supply is very stable here but I understand very well what you are saying Jim. I have had several instances where PCs hang requiring a system reset giving the same result as a power out. The use of Alt S reduces loss risk and gets round DX4 not backing up automatically on some occcasions. As you say the use of Alt B will maintain the backup in parallel.
