I'm trying install DX4WIN on an early Pentium computer. It seems to work fine until I try to use PSK31. Unfortunately, dedicated PSK31 is the main reason I'm using this old computer in the first place.
Here's my problem. I'm getting this error message: "Error starting soundcard. Doesn't support 16bt, 800 HZ format." CD's play in the machine. I haven't tried other audio applications. Actually, I have a newer sound card I could use, but the message suggests that the problem is not a matter of the card being too old, but being too new. Any ideas for a fix before I tear it down and try the new sound card? Jimmy Walker WA4ILO Macon, GA
