David, I am running DX4WIN with an Icom IC-746 with a PW-1 and the "$10 Radio Shack special" CI-V interface. Took a little tweaking to get working properly, and even now when I turn the equipment on in the wrong order (Computer, rig, software, amp: since the interface gets its power from the serial port, the amp may start listening before the interface is powered up and the amp goes deaf) the PW-1 stops listening to the band-switching commands from the rig. The amp deafness is easily solved by merely pressing the <down> button on the amp to cycle the band selection back to "auto", then the amp starts listening again.
I have some other details that I have forwarded to you in another message. -larry K8UT ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Tingler" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 12, 2002 2:46 AM Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN and IC-PW1 > Hello, > > Does anyone know how to get the Icom PW1 working properly with DX4WIN?
