The word from the LoTW team says "That's an error in DX4WIN. The ADIF file has the wrong number of characters listed for the MODE field."
A cure for the error is to open the ADIF file with Windows Wordpad and da a find "<mode:4>PSK3" , then do Replace ALL with <mode:5>PSK31" then save the file. Now sign the file and upload it or email it to LoTW and it should now be free of the PSK3 mode error Edgar, N6OU
