This "sky is falling" approach doesn't help anyone. I've spent the last year and probably over 100 hours revising the country file. I've had imputs from a long list of people, many of whom I can't remember (see the bottom of my web page). My web page: http://www.ad1c.com/dx4win/ describes a procedure for identifying the differences. Check your QSL cards. If there are real errors in the database, I am be more than happy to fix them. 73 - Jim AD1C ===== Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue May 11 15:20:31 2004 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Tue May 11 15:21:40 2004 Subject: [Dx4win] Country & IOTA Problem? I believe you have to be in "F9" mode (new QSO input) for the windows to update. DX4WIN has always been this way. 73 - Jim AD1C ===== Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue May 11 15:23:33 2004 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Tue May 11 15:24:41 2004 Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Cty File In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> There's also an extensive revision history of the country file changes: http://www.ad1c.com/dx4win/history.htm It reflects a lot of painstaking research. Just stating a fact. I checked my log from my prior call sign of WL7M, and found that the totals don't match either: 311 (6.02) vs 305 (6.03). I did indicate that I would wait for things to stabilize, and I intend to. No barbs intended. It seems I'm being told that the database under 6.02 was apparently incorrect. If so, then we all may have missed working a DXCC entity because we believed we had already worked them, according to DX4WIN? 73, Joe WD0M At 01:17 PM 5/11/2004, Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: > > Upgrading from 6.02 to 6.03 dropped me from 167 to 157 > > countries.
